Gonzalo Camp, LCSW (he/él)
I am a bilingual (Spanish/English) Social Worker who provides therapy to couples, families, and individuals, ages 15 and older. I hold a License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) and have been providing direct mental health support services in various settings for the last 20 years.
Before pursuing my mental health degrees, I spent several years in education teaching English as a Second Language, Spanish, and leadership skills in high schools, companies, and universities, both in Argentina and the USA.
After devoting more than a decade as a psychologist to the mental health field in Argentina, I embarked on a new chapter by relocating to the United States to pursue a Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Arkansas.
I am passionate about helping everyone who is seeking support, with a special emphasis on affirmative practice interventions for LGBTQIA+ and Latino community members. I empower clients by using a person-centered and collaborative approach, offering an authentic, honest, and kind communication style.
Since 2006, my professional ventures have encompassed a variety of settings. My clinical approach is rooted in various therapeutic techniques, with a particular emphasis on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction techniques. When working with couples, I use techniques from the Gottman Method, Sue Johnson's Emotional Focused Therapy, and Terry Real's Relational Life Therapy.
